Thanks Layout for Catherine Pooler Designs

Hi friends, Andrea here! This 12×12 layout was such a fun and colorful project to bring together, and it all started with the Ur Sweet collection by Catherine Pooler Designs and the products from their January release. I loved the playful patterns and couldn’t resist letting one of the smaller paper designs guide the overall look of the page. The bright colors, hearts, and sweet sentiments felt perfect for documenting this happy moment, and they set the tone for a layout that feels joyful, layered, and full of personality.

You can find a list of all the supplies I used HERE

The gumball machine is the true star of this page. I created it using Party Colored Cardstock in Rockin’ Red and Cotton Candy, paired with white cardstock that I custom colored using inks in Midnight, Hoodie, and Black Jack. I designed the gumball machine to replicate one of the smaller illustrations from the patterned papers, which helped everything feel cohesive while still adding a bold, dimensional focal point. Little details like stitching and layered pieces helped bring it to life and made the design feel extra special.

For the titles and journaling elements, I used the Scripted Sentiments Trio Word Dies along with the Flip-a-Color Dies to create tabs and layered accents. These pieces added just the right amount of structure and movement around the photo and journaling, helping guide the eye across the page. All of the hearts and embellishments were fussy cut directly from the patterned papers, then adhered using a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive to create depth and dimension throughout the layout.

If you’d like to see how this page came together from start to finish, be sure to head over to my YouTube channel to watch the full process video. I walk through the design choices, layering details, and techniques used to bring this layout to life. Thank you so much for stopping by today—I hope this project inspires you to play with color, dimension, and those sweet little details that make memory keeping so fun.

Love, Andrea💖
