How to Create a Flower Bouquet Frame with Tombow Eco-Friendly Adhesives

Hi, friends! My name is Andrea Lake, and as Earth Day approaches, it’s the perfect time to celebrate sustainability through creativity. Finding ways to incorporate recycled materials into crafting not only reduces waste but also adds a unique and meaningful touch to our projects. Today, I’m excited to share a flower bouquet frame home decor project I made last year using recycled materials and two of my favorite Tombow eco-friendly adhesives: the Recycled Fishing Net Adhesive and the MONO Aqua Liquid Glue.

I’ve been refreshing my office space with more of my own handmade art, and this flower bouquet frame turned out to be the perfect addition! By repurposing old magazines and egg cartons, I was able to craft beautiful flowers and showcase the power of sustainable crafting with Tombow adhesives. You can also see doilies, old flower die cuts and laser cut leaves as part of the bouquet.

Supplies:

Recycled Fishing Net Adhesive, MONO Aqua Liquid Glue , Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Old magazines, Egg cartons, Patterned paper scraps,  8x8 shadow box.

Crafting the Bouquet

I started by rolling flowers out of old magazine pages and securing them with the Recycled Fishing Net Adhesive. This adhesive makes application seamless, even on uneven surfaces—perfect for securing my delicate flowers.

Next, I cut and shaped flowers from egg cartons and added color with Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers. These flowers were attached to the frame using MONO Aqua Liquid Glue, an all-purpose, fast-drying adhesive that dries clear. This glue works on multiple surfaces, ensuring a strong, lasting bond while being acid-free. It was also perfect to create flowers out of pretty doilies I had in hand.

Tombow’s adhesives, like the Recycled Fishing Net Adhesive and MONO Aqua Liquid Glue, make it easy to create sustainable projects while giving new life to materials that might otherwise go to waste. Whether you’re crafting with recycled paper, repurposed packaging, or natural elements, these adhesives provide a strong and lasting bond, ensuring your projects stand the test of time.

The final bouquet displays a mix of vibrant colors and textures, making it a sophisticated and eco-friendly statement piece for any space!

I’d love to hear how you’re using Tombow adhesives to craft sustainably! What creative ideas do you have for repurposing materials or making Earth-friendly projects?

Love,

Andrea L.
